It’s a buddies bike. It sounds like compression being released or a steam engine when running. Then it will just stop for a while, then start up again. Nobody seems to know the problem. No loss of power, just a weird sound.

I’m interested in buying my first motorcycle, my dad suggested a Harley 883, it is generally appealing to me. What other bike would be similar in size and build? Maybe something for someone with a smaller budget?

The motor displacement is listed as 96 (cubic inch) However, no one I have asked seems to know the horsepower it has.

My Dad was side swiped in ‘93 by a man driving a Dodge truck & lost part of his left leg. He restored the bike & has been lookin’ into the electric shifters for the last few years. I need some more literature about them & I need to find out if anyone makes one that is compatible to his Harley, like I said it’s a ‘76 Sportster.
