Firstly don't you know you wont get the weather to satify you.

But if you must stickers can be used, or new backings can be brought from mandp.com, but wait till your in the Uk to do it, the DVLA will give you a few months to sort it anyway.
I dont have a fixed speedo on my 250 and it passes its MOT. Its not a must have, but with the amount of camera's over here you need to know your speed.
Get in touch with the DVLA or The UK Harley Bunch for more info.

Personally i wound use stickers to assure your speed in MPH - only £2 from manp.com and you can remove them later.

looks like by 2010 we will be on KMH anyway - gov' are voting on it soon, it conected to the 2012 games

the only other mods - a very good alarm -bike crime if riff at the mo. microdots - will reduce insurance to, and a good alround tyre set up, again mandp.com can advise.

Good luck

take a ferry across the med and ride it in,throw it on the tunnel train and stay with it,show them your passport and ride it home.otherwise have it shipped from italy if possible to the uk.
i would avoid having it done from the uae, just for the security precautions and hold on it, it may get lost for awhile.
harley has some good shops in the uk why worry about it, they can have it changed to meet regulations if there is a problem, which i doubt there will be.
if you have to fully ship it from the uae get with harley in the uk and let them set it up to ship it in,or if you are a h.o.g.member use there services to ship it in.

I assume your speedometer has no metric markings on it...most newer ones do. I am sure you can purchase a speedo from Harley that has both markings....50mph = 80 kph
