fear.nobody asked:
I’ve asked many people but no one has given me a set number so far. Even just a ball park number would be fine. Thank you very much for any feedback.

not much money in wrenchng bikes, maybe 20 hour for a good mechanic in an urban area, with bonuses could make 45-60 k a year

Why are you asking ‘people’ and not a Harley dealer. Stop by, say ‘Hi”, ask if they are hiring and what their typical wages are. If you are qualified, perhaps you might have a chance.

It’s plain to see your not qualified or you wouldn’t be asking this question. It will depend on your experience first. You don’t have any? Then it will depend on where you live. Then it will depend on who you work for. I agree on talking to your local dealer or evan contacting MMI and you would get a much better answer. I got paid 15.00 flat rate as auto mech, but had a Friend who got paid 25.00 with more experience.

Motorcycle News, the US publication, did an article on motorcycle mechanics pay. It was truly sad. I do not remember the exact hourly rate but it was lower than car mechanics. If you are considering it as a career you might want to look at that article. You can probably get reprints if you call them and you might be able to find it on-line.
Good luck.
