Lotion for motorcyclists - Has anyone tried the Harley Legendary lotion or the Harley Destiny lotion?

The cold weather this time of year is pretty rough on my skin. Some of the guys in my club were saying that they use Oil of Olay and it works pretty well to keep their skin from drying out, but that sounds pretty girly. I saw that Harley has two different kinds of lotions and that seems like it would be more fitting and a lot less girly. There’s the Destiny lotion and the Harley Legendary lotion. Has anyone tried either of these?

Just go to wal-mart and get a non sented lotion. The harley stuff is going to be the exact same stuff just a harley label slapped on it and cost probably twice as much. Hopefully your are man enough to just get something that works. If you can’t handle that then you are definately not secure in your manhood. In that case I see why you ride a harley. Looks like you are trying to overcompensate for some deep down femine quality that you are scared of. But yeh I know how you feel I try to get mine out but when its dry and cold like this it just rips your skin to shreads.

I don’t mean to be cynical or nasty here but don’t you think that Harley lotion is more than likely made by a firm very similar to Oil Of Ulay? Putting lotion on full stop sounds pretty a*ss bandit to me.

Do H-D really sell that stuff? I guess if there are people daft enough, then they will stick their name on it and bang it out at premium dollar.

I am not sure where you are but in any case it is hovering around freezing here and I am riding regularly. I can’t say that I have any problems with my skin and the cold as I am covered up.

No, but thanks for pointing these out! I’m gonna get some for the hub.

    Whoa there Halry Rider!

Like all Harly riders, I am happy to see that Halry Davidson is finally paying attention to a topic of utmost importance to Halry riders. Exfoliating. A primary concern of the modern Halry rider is moisturizing their skin. I was ecstatic to see that HD finally got on the ball and started marketing products for the modern HD consumer. I have seen those disgusting photos of grease covered motorcycle riders from the past and have considered my own “Save Darfur” type campaign to try to right the ship and portray what upstanding citizens HD riders have morphed into in today’s modern world.

However, I have already looked into the product and, while it seems great on the package it is not compatible with the temporary ink in either Henna or temporary HD tattoos that are popular with the contemporary Harly rider.

I am really bummed. Everyone knows that if HD puts it’s name on the label it has to be twice as great as anyone elses’ product!

I would love to support HD skin care products but do not want a bad rash from incompatible chemicals in my temporary HD tattoo and moisturizing cream.

Someday my dream will be answered!

    Ride proud!

As with all things “Harley” it’s not always as good as the cheaper brands but always at least twice the price. If you’re concerned that using girly lotion will somehow affect your sexuality, you may try going to a feedstore and getting some “udder butter” or other cream that farmers use on their hands. You won’t find a better product at any price

  7. HD Rider Says:

Stick with the Harley brand lotion since if anything has the Harley Davidson logo ypu can be sure that it is the best out there.

The destiny lotion is actually a very nice product. Doesn’t cost much, has a nice scent to it and it does a good job of protecting my skin. For a while I was using a Lancome product that worked pretty good, but the Harley stuff is definitely a lot cooler and I can pull it out and apply it at one of our stops and nobody thinks I’m a tool - can’t do that with the Lancome stuff. I’m in Northern California where the winters are definitely riding weather, but the damp and cold can really wrack your skin so proper protection is a must. Give that stuff a try - I think you’ll like it.

  9. Nate Says:

dude…. you ride a harley, people KNOW your a tool.

And lmao that harley makes lotion by the way, I wouldn’t be suprised to see harley tampons soon, then you guys can get all excited as hell.

You can buy the Harley lotion and some Harley wipes. Then buy some Harley tissue to blow your nose and some Harley TP to wipe your ***. Or you can save some money and buy the same stuff at Wal-Mart just not with the H-D logo. But if buying stuff with the H-D logo makes you feel manly then by all means spend your money. Or better yet buy some H-D stickers and re-lable the Wal_Mart stuff so all your buddies know how manly you are. *rolls her eyes*

As an OLD SCHOOL HARD CORE HARLEY RIDER FOR FORTY YEARS,you newer riders really tickle me. ATF, thats right automatic tranny fluid don’t have the perfume in it,but it don’t cost $40.00 an ounce either.
Stop buying all that Harley stuff!!! They don’t make it, hell, they don’t even package the stuff themselves. They just mark it up to the sky, then suck you into buying it.

I never worry about my hands. No problems with them.
If you’re serious (you might be, never know) try using GOOP waterless/with water hand cleaner. The lanolin (a natural emollient) will keep your hands soft. Helps with chapping too. For badly chapped skin, use Bag Balm. Used to be you only found it in the same place you got all the other stuff for feeding and taking care of your cows. Since it got “discovered”, it’s everywhere including grocery stores in the health and beauty aisle.
