what is the big connection between Betty Boop and Harley Davidson?

I think the connection is just with harley and anything “old school”…like betty boop, like rat fink, other hot rod characters, old cool stuff.

That’s because Betty Boop is a hot little tramp and bikers like hot tramps, well I know i do!
There is also a growing number of women and (girl) riders and Betty is an attempt to bring some “cutesy” chick appeal to the game. At 4 corners last fall there was a chick who had her “Big Bear Chopper” done up in the Betty Boop theme,it was pretty cool.

Oh, that’s an old long-standing connection there. Betty Boop and her husband Bobby Boop started the Boop Oil Dry Co back in 1932. Well of course HD had to buy whole rail cars of this stuff for the floor of the factory where the new bikes exit, all the way out to where they were loaded onto trucks. Plus they’d shovel a bunch into the trailer floors too! Then of course the dealers needed to buy it wholesale too, Boop gave HD very good deals on the stuff in bulk and in 60 lb bags for the dealers.

Betty Boop is a cool chick; and what cool chick would not love straddling a fine piece of machinery like a Harley or sporting Harley garb?!!!
