Why is it that you can’t purchase a Harley Davidson Motorcycle on Sundays in Indiana?

I have just heard that you can not purchase a Harley Davidson on Sundays in Indiana. Is this true and if so why.

    i can not buy beer on sundays in roswell nm
    but the harley store is open.i can buy one on sundays

    it depends on the state In PA you cannot buy a car or bike on Sundays.

    Wouldn’t surprise me at all. There are numerous so-called “Blue Laws” such as this throughout the country. Some States have done away with them entirely, while others keep them on the books for whatever reason. Enforcement is another issue entirely. Aside from liquor laws, some are enforced and others are ignored with a nod and a wink.

    TX used to restrict the sales of certain items on consecutive Saturdays and Sundays. Enforcement became so difficult, that the laws were dumped entirely.

    MA used to have a law against “Through Trucking on the Lord’s Day.” You’d never see a truck on a highway on a Sunday unless it was a local delivery. The law was finally declared invalid when a Jewish trucker was pulled over on a Sunday and won his case by explaining that the Jewish “Lord’s Day” or Sabbath was Saturday, not Sunday and he was completely within the letter of the law as he never drove on Saturdays. A subsequent case involving an atheist trucker sealed the law’s fate permanently.

    KS leaves liquor sales up to local option. Plenty of counties in KS bar sales on Sundays, but the stores just across the state line in MO do a land-office business with KS customers on Sundays since MO permits Sunday sales and does not allow local option any more.

    A lot of bike shops are closed on Sundays and Mondays everywhere.

    I live in IL and no car or bike dealerships are open. You could buy one from a private party.

    God rides Harley’s and likes to shop and test drive on Sundays. They shut down the stores for him.

    dealers are only allowed to sell 6 days a week…. and if u close on a different day…. the fellow dealerships will hate your store
